OS FEC Trains 202 & 101 - Crew Swap & Meet in Micco - Sunday November 17. 2013
Mr. Tom Chaffee and I were on a mission to see both FEC202-17 & FEC101-17 as they were preparing to meet and do a crew swap in Micco. We get up to the Roseland Road crossing to find ourselves catching the tail end of FEC202-17 but I knew he would be slowing down when he cleared the Roseland Trestle. We get to the Micco Car Wash as the blinding headlights are seen. 101, 702 & 704LHF seen leading as they roll to a stop. Lights of FEC101-17 are getting brighter as the train trips the signals at Micco Road. 709, 433 & 415LHF seen leading as ECH waves to us from the cab with his flashlight. Both crews hop on home bound trains as the headlights of unit 101 are seen shining bright. First one to leave was FEC101-17 with this 10,000 foot train of IM with two ASHLEYS in the mix and 30 seconds later, FEC202-17 begins to depart with cement tubs on top, autoracks following and tanks on the bottom. EoT of FEC101-17 at 7:12PM as the EoT of FEC202-17 passes us later on at 7:14PM.
