OS FEC Trains 202 & 101 Thursday July 4, 2013
Happy Independence Day!!
A good and hot day to celebrate the 237th birthday of our county, but as you know, a normal Independence Day would involve catching some trains. Gates at CR512WEST come down as ECH waves to me from the 104 & the 708. Few rock hoppers and cement hoppers on top with IM quickly following behind as autoracks and plenty of deadloads( some box cars are from the former SCL ) are seen on the bottom. EoT at 4:40PM. Meet in Palm Bay take a little over an hour as the loud horn of the 101 is heard with CITX140 trails behind as this 9,100 foot train passes me at CR512EAST. Autoracks on top as IM is seen dominating this train on the bottom. EoT passes me at 5:47PM.
