OS FEC Trains 202 & 101 Sat. June 29, 2013

Big, dark and thick storm clouds hover over Sebastian as rain could fall at any second but I still head out to CR512WEST to see these two amazing trains. Gates come down as 107, 102 & 414 lead FEC202-29 as they take rock( in FEC hoppers and gondolas ) and cement hoppers on top with no IM or autoracks as covered hoppers, lumber racks, tanks, box cars, gondolas, hoppers and flats are seen on the bottom. EoT at 6:50PM. Meet is in Micco with FEC101-29. 3 minutes later, the rain comes down HARD as I quickly seek shelter under the eaves of a nearby building. The rain held up just in time as Dominick tells me that FEC101-29 is crossing Micco South. I can hear the engines roaring all the way from Roseland as the bells ring at CR512WEST. Once again, a heritage unit is leading FEC101-24 as Heritage714, 708 & 421LHF takes this 12,900 foot train south to Miami with rock hoppers, hoppers, covered hoppers, lumber racks and box cars on top with IM and wells on the bottom. EoT at 7:30PM.
