OS FEC Trains 202 & 101 Saturday December 28, 2013
It was a no brainer to Dominick that the meet today was going to be in Palm Bay. Looking at both positions of the trains, I thought it was going to be Pineda, but Dominick was correct. The radiator fans are heard from the locomotives as far as Schumann Drive which is literally a mile and a half south. Greeting Ms. Coleman who usually waves to the train crews, we both get toots from the 106, CITX142 & 514 as they lead FEC202-28. Lots of rock and cement tubs on top was NS cars in the mix as IM is seen on the bottom. Yup. No Autoracks people. EoT at 5:50PM. I blew the hour literally biking around as Dominick lets me know FEC101-28 has passed him. Back at Main Street again as the rails begin to sizzle. Gates come down as 104 & CITX141 are seen leading this 12,400 foot beast of IM. EoT at 6:53PM.
