OS FEC Trains 202 & 101 FRI. August 2, 2013
FEC202-02 chuggin' north on the coast of Florida as I head out to see this amazing train. I have no clue as to what the power is but as the gates at 512WEST came down, it was 719 & 702. 719 has the same horn as Champion714 does so luckily this engine, whose paint is peeling and is patchy, gets the same paint job as the other 5 champion locomotives. No rock here as IM takes it place with wells following behind as autoracks and deadloads are seen on the bottom. EoT at 5:50PM. Meet with FEC101-02 is in Palm Bay. I headed down Old Dixie Highway to see Caboose Mikey for FEC101-02 but seconds later, I see him pull off and head south. With that plan blown, I made my way down to Schumann Drive grade crossing and I pass him waiting at the red light at Schumann Drive, waiting to turn on US1. Funny. The sweet sounding mechanical bell is heard ringing as CITX140 & 106 is seen leading FEC101-02. Autoracks on top with IM and wells on the bottom as the EoT passes me at 6:50PM.
