OS FEC Trains 202 & 101 Saturday August 31, 2013
Shot down to the junction to see Caboose Mikey, but no white truck was to be found. So I took out my phone and my camera and waited for FEC202-31. A rainbow of colors leading this train as toots are given from the 106, 717 & the 422LHF with its headlights burning. Lots of rock on top with cement tubs and a box car stuffed in there as plenty of deadloads are seen following with autoracks on the bottom. No IM seen here as the EoT passes me at 5:40PM. FEC101-31, a 12,800 foot beast is long and is working hard as he meets with FEC202-31 in Pineda. Gates at 512WEST close the crossing as toots are given from the 102 & the CITX142. Rock hoppers, cement tubs, scrap hoppers, bulkheads and a lumberack on top with IM and wells following behind as this beast heads down to Miami. EoT at 7:28PM.
