OS FEC Trains 101 & 202 Friday October 11, 2013
As a railfan, you prepare yourself for any train that is coming, but you have to keep an eye on your monitor, cause train movements can change instantly and quick, depending on speed. The gap between FEC202-11 & FEC101-11, I told Dominick that the meet would be in Fort Pierce............I was wrong.........It was set in Gifford. Dominick and I were stunned but there had must been a reason why it WASN'T Fort Pierce. At 512WEST crossing, 107 is seen leading this very slow train with 717 & Champion713LHF trailing. FEC101-11 is moving pretty slow, and the reason is unknown. autoracks on top with IM on the bottom as an Ashley is seen in the mix.Taking 5 to 6 minutes to pass, the EoT is seen at 5:51PM. Meet in Gifford complete as FEC202-11clears the north end of Gifford Siding. The red light comes on shortly after as 105 & 106 blast past me as they lead FEC202-11. Rock on top with IM following with box cars and tanks on the bottom. No autoracks here( which is weird not to see ) as the EoT passes me at 6:37PM.
