OS FEC Trains 202, 101 & 107 Friday January 10, 2014
Part of the monitor for ATCS goes out as I time out FEC202-10: one hour and 10 minute from Port Sewall South to Bougard. I head out a little earlier as I sit at CR512EAST, talking to Dominick on the phone. I soon see Caboose Junction making their way down Old Dixie, giving me a sign that I had not missed this train. Bells finally right as 100 & CITX142 aare seen leading FEC202-10 with rock and cement tubs on top with IM following as autoracks, tanks and manifest are seen on the bottom. EoT at 6:16PM. Meet in Micco doesn't take very long as the green light pops on for FEC101-10. Gates at CR512EAST come down as a lady shouts from her car "GET OFF THEM TRACKS BEFORE YOU GET YOURSELF KILLED!".....nutty much? 104, CITX141 & Pinky436 seen leading this nice train of IM with two ASHLEYs in the mix as the EoT passes me at 6:34PM. Come to find out, the lady who was shouting was a lady I went to church with and met every Tuesday lol. My day of railfanning wasn't done yet as I saw FEC107-10 come closer and closer. I head out for him at 512EAST to find Champion714 leading with 704 & 709LHF trailing. Autoracks on top with manifest( filled lumberracks, VERY good sign for the housing industry, cement tubs, rock hoppers, tanks and box cars ) as IM is seen on the bottom. A BeautyRest is spotted in the mix as the EoT passes me at 10:14PM.
